Support student scholarships as you network with colleagues.

WASBO Foundation Fall Scholarship Fundraisers

Hit the greens or jump on your bike to support over $20,000 in student scholarships awarded by WASBO annually to deserving Wisconsin high school seniors! Network with school district professionals and company representatives who provide products and services to Wisconsin schools on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, then join us for two days of powerful professional development at the WASBO Foundation Fall Conference. Back by popular demand, WASBO is again offering two different fundraising activities. Golfers have the opportunity to play 18 holes at the historic Autumn Ridge Golf Course in Valders, while bikers can ride the Old Plank Road Trail from Greenbush to Sheboygan.

WASBO Golf Scholarship Fundraiser

The Scholarship Golf Outing will be held rain or shine, on Wednesday, October 5 at Autumn Ridge Golf Course located at One Straight Drive, Valders, WI. Registration check-in is available from 9:30-11 AM, and opportunities to hit on the practice range are available during this time as well. The event kicks off with a shot gun start at 11 AM sharp, and foursomes will play a best ball scramble. WASBO Service Affiliate Members sponsor hole events to make this a fun networking opportunity for everyone while we benefit kids by raising money for student scholarships. When registering for golf, please indicate any potential partners you would like to be paired with (teams will consist of both school district professionals and service affiliate vendors). Every effort will be made to honor your preferences.

Registration is $95 and includes 18 holes of golf, mulligan/putting contest/string game, cart, lunch, beverages, networking and golf prizes. Enjoy dinner on your own, then join us for the Fall Conference Welcome Reception which will be held at The Osthoff Resort from 8-10 PM with light appetizers and beverages. Golf prizes will be awarded at the reception (cash prizes will be mailed for those not in attendance).

WASBO Bike Scholarship Fundraiser

We invite you to bike the Old Plank Road Trail from Greenbush to Sheboygan, where we will stop for lunch before returning. There are three options for riders:

Long Route: Riders will depart by 9:45 AM, climb out of Greenbush and then descend towards Plymouth, with a some rolling hills on this 35-mile round trip.
Medium Route: The medium route is approximately 20 miles round trip and will depart from the WalMart Supercenter in Plymouth at about 10:30 AM. While relatively flat, there are some rolling hills as we ride to Sheboygan Falls.
Short Route: The short route is about 10 miles round trip. Riders will gather at the Meadowlark Rd Trailhead, where the riders from the longer routes will meet you. The group will pull out at about 11 AM. From there it is about 5 miles to the lunch stop in Sheboygan.

You will need to bring your own bike and helmet. Experienced riders will be along for the ride to assist with mechanical issues. The Old Plank Road Trail is primarily paved trail with a small section on roadways. The terrain varies from flat to gently rolling with one large climb just east of Greenbush.  A recreational pace should have the group in Sheboygan around 12 PM for lunch, with our return trip complete by 3:30-4 PM.

The Fall Bicycle Tour is a fundraising event supporting WASBO student scholarships. The tour is $40 and includes the lunch, water and snacks for the ride. A waiver of liability form will be provided on site for your signature. Participants must wear bike helmets.
