2018-19 Wally Zastrow Leadership Academy
This six session course will provide practical leadership skills as you sit at the education table in your district as well as in your career.
Participant Expectations:
Participants are expected to attend all academy sessions and complete homework assignments provided at each. Participants will also be expected to complete a leadership development goal and a school improvement project for their home district.
Discussion of what kind of school improvement project and how to manage it will take place and time will be allocated for discussing projects at each session. Participants will be expected to write up their results in a simple format and present it prior to graduation.
Three Viterbo Course Credits have been approved for those seeking credit; payment for credit will be made directly to Viterbo.

The Wally Zastrow 2018-19 Leadership Academy is $1,800. Price of these six, two-day Academy sessions includes:

This is a tentative schedule for "topics." Because we are starting in August instead of June, the cohort group and instructors will decide together how to make up the time lost in June. This will be determined in the August or September meeting. This will be an exercise in leadership!
The Leadership Academy will end with a Graduation Ceremony, slated for May 17, 2019 at the WASBO Spring Conference, Hyatt Regency, Green Bay.
Who should attend?
All WASBO District Professionals from all job titles including Business Managers, Facilities Directors, Bookkeepers and Custodians.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the profession;
- Must have input or decision-making authority for strategic decisions involving the school district;
- Need or want talking points to describe the Academy - Leadership Talking Points
- Written supervisory approval to participate in all six Academy sessions - Sample Letter of Support; a copy of the letter of support from your supervisor may be submitted by email to [email protected] or by mail to:
