Custodian/Maintenance Professional of the Year

Background & Purpose of Award

This award acknowledges the outstanding contributions of those who are making a difference to their local school district, community and the custodial and maintenance profession. Since 2020, four custodial/maintenance professionals will be recognized in four different regions of the state.

The following criteria shall be considered when nominating the Custodian/Maintenance Employee of the Year Candidate:
  1. High Level of Trust
  2. Attendance
  3. Quality of Work
  4. Identification as a "Team Player"
  5. Self-Motivated
  6. Ingenuity & Authenticity
  7. Takes Ownership of the School/District
  8. Connections in the School Community with Students, Staff and Constituents
  9. Leadership in Schools/Profession
  10. Advocate for the School District
  11. Provides Excellent Customer Service

2022 Nominations must be submitted before May 13, 2022. 

Recognition

In addition to a complimentary registration to their regional Custodial & Maintenance Conference, the recipient will also be awarded a complimentary registration to the 2023 Facilities Management Conference.The recipient(s) of this award will be recognized at their regional Custodial & Maintenance Conference in the summer of 2022. Press releases will also be issued to local media outlets.

2022 Selection Process
