Mike Barry

The WASBO Board hired Mike Barry as the WASBO Executive Director in July 2019. Prior to joining WASBO Mike served the Madison Metropolitan School District as the Assistant Superintendent for Business Services for 7 years. He previously served for several years in similar roles with the Oconomowoc Area School District and the Pewaukee Public Schools. Mike earned an MA from UW-Madison in 1988, an accounting degree from DePaul University in 1984, and became a CPA in 1985. Mike has been a member of WASBO since 1989.

Jeanne Deimund

Associate Executive Director

Jeanne joined WASBO in October 2002 as professional development coordinator. Jeanne became Associate Director in 2015. Jeanne is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, where she majored in accounting and finance. Prior to joining the WASBO staff, she served as the Business Operations Supervisor for Liberty Public Schools in Liberty, Missouri. While in Liberty, she was also a member of Missouri ASBO.

Anne Chapman

Research Director

As research director at the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials, Anne Chapman leads WASBO’s mission to ensure equity and outstanding educational opportunities for Wisconsin students through nonpartisan policy research, analysis, and advocacy. Her research on K-12 education focuses on general state and local policy and finance, school referendums, special education funding, the educator workforce, school choice, enrollment trends, and other topics.

Prior to joining WASBO, Chapman served as senior researcher at the Wisconsin Policy Forum and as a legislative program analyst with the Wisconsin Legislative Audit Bureau.

Chapman holds a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, La Follette School of Public Affairs. She is a member of the Association for School Business Officials International where she also serves as a legal expert on the Legislative Advisory Committee. She is a member of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management and Association for Education Finance and Policy.

Danielle Bosanec

Dr. Danielle Bosanec joined WASBO in August 2024. Previously, Danielle served the Pewaukee School District for 20 years as a teacher, school administrator, and Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning. Additionally, Danielle has been a consultant and coach for education leaders nationally and internationally. Danielle earned her BS from Minnesota State University-Mankato (2003), Master's degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis from UW-Madison (2010), and Ph.D. from Cardinal Stritch University (2020).

Kaitlyn Peters

Kaitlyn joined WASBO in August 2015. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stout, where she majored in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. She previously worked at the Holiday Inn Madison at the American Center, where she was the Catering Sales Manager.

Ryan Silvola

Ryan joined WASBO in July 2019. He graduated from Augustana College in Illinois, where he majored in Multimedia Journalism and Mass Communication and Women's and Gender Studies. Prior to joining the WASBO staff, he served as a Reporter/Designer for the Beloit Daily News in Beloit, Wisconsin. He also served as Marketing Coordinator for Quilt Addicts Anonymous.

Kristin Hauser

Kristin joined WASBO in April 2013. She is a graduate of Western Washington University and majored in Communications. Kristin has worked with several non-profits in the state of Washington as Program Manager, Special Events Coordinator, and Community Outreach, and lived in the Northwest for 10 years, before returning to her home state of Wisconsin.
