WASBO Golf Scholarship Fundraiser

The Scholarship Golf Outing will be held rain or shine, on Wednesday, October 6. Hit the greens at Quit Qui Oc Golf Club, just down the road from The Osthoff. Registration check-in is available from 9:30-11 AM, and opportunities to hit on the practice range are available during this time as well. The event kicks off with a shot gun start at 11 AM sharp, and foursomes will play a best ball scramble. WASBO Service Affiliate Members sponsor hole events to make this a fun networking opportunity for everyone while we benefit graduating high school seniors to raise money for student scholarships. When registering for golf, please indicate any potential partners you would like to be paired with (teams will consist of both school district professionals and service affiliate vendors). A minimum of 2 service affiliate vendors will be on every team. Every effort will be made to honor your preferences.

Registration is $105 and includes 18 holes of golf, mulligan/putting contest/string game, cart, lunch, beverages, networking and golf prizes. Enjoy dinner on your own, then join us for the Fall Conference Welcome Reception which will be held at The Osthoff Resort from 8-10 PM with light appetizers and beverages. Golf prizes will be awarded at the reception.

WASBO Walk/Run Scholarship Fundraiser

For those that don't wish to golf, WASBO is hosting the 3rd annual Fall Walk/Run Scholarship Fundraiser! The Walk/Run will take place rain or shine, and is a great opportunity to get a workout in before the conference starts, as well as networking with your peers. The walk/run will start at 2:00 PM, with registration starting at 1:00 PM, and is 2K in length. Set your own pace as you weave through the gorgeous paved paths of Elkhart Lake. Take in the scenery while stretching your legs for a great cause, then wind down with a facilitator led activity! Registration is $50.

After dinner on your own, everyone is welcome to join us for the Fall Conference Welcome Reception in the Grand Libelle Lobby from 8-10 PM with light appetizers and beverages.

Ensuring the Health and Safety of Conference Attendees - WASBO Safeguards updated 9/3/2021

As we prepare for in-person conferences, providing attendees and exhibitors with a safe and healthy learning environment is our top priority.  To do this well, all participants must follow the safeguards necessary for minimizing transmission of the COVID-19 virus, including the emerging Delta variant.Additionally, this will allow a lower risk of transmitting the virus to your family and community. The safeguards include the following:

Before the Event:

Get the vaccine. All registrants including guests and speakers will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated. You are considered fully vaccinated:

  • 2 weeks after your second dose in a 2-dose series, such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
  • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine

Prepare to attend by monitoring your fever or symptoms before the conference even if you are fully vaccinated.

Stay home if you have a fever or other symptoms even if you are fully vaccinated.

Stay home if you have a family member with COVID-19 even if you are fully vaccinated and follow CDC recommended precautions.

During the Event:

Present proof of vaccination.

All attendees will be required to wear a mask indoors, with the exception of when actively eating or drinking, even if you are fully vaccinated. WASBO will provide a mask if you do not have one.

Practice physical distancing as required.

Follow the CDC’s guidance.

Please note that additional safeguards may be established based on CDC guidelines as the conference nears. If change is needed, this will be communicated in conference emails.

After the Event:

Monitor your temperature and symptoms to keep yourself and others safe.

At this time, we are confident that participants can safely conduct an in-person conference with comprehensive COVID-19 safeguards in place and practiced by all who attend. We will continue to closely monitor the situation.
