The bus driver shortage is impacting all school districts whether the district has a contracted service or a district operated transportation program. Join the conference’s first session in a roundtable format where informal conversations between peers will gather ideas to recruit and retain school bus drivers. Interested in learning more about bus tracking software? Learn from your peers about the most common softwares used in Wisconsin schools as well as the advantages and disadvantages. The session is moderated by Rhonda Page and Joe Marquardt. Rhonda works for the Sun Prairie Area School District that partners with contracted services for transportation while Joe works for the School District of New London that operates its own transportation program.

How do we create a team feeling between educational administrators and school bus staff? How do we know if our actions are reducing school bus incidents? What are the barriers to establishing a school bus staff/educational staff team for examining school bus data at least once a year to brainstorm action steps for resolutions? Are you looking for additional options to help students follow the rules and feel safe during the school bus ride?
