Taking Care of Business Publication

Taking Care of Business is a quarterly publication produced by the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials. This WASBO publication features the latest on government programs and legislation, as well as articles by experts in fields ranging from finance to facilities, transportation, legal, safety and risk management, and more. Learn about new technologies and best practices and hear from WASBO's Executive Director and Board of Directors on association news.

District Professional and Service Affiliate members are welcome to submit articles of an informational or educational nature. Issues are published in February, May, August and November.

Submission guidelines:

  • Articles should be submitted no later than the fifteenth of the month prior to the publication month.
  • Articles should generally be around 900-1,000 words and submitted in Microsoft Word with no special formatting.
  • High-quality original photos and graphics are encouraged.
  • Photos and graphics must be sent separately, not embedded in a Word Document.
  • Please include a headline with the article.
  • Submitted articles will be reviewed, approved and edited for length and clarity by WASBO Staff.

WASBO Focus e-Newsletter

WASBO Focus is a monthly e-newsletter produced by the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials. This WASBO publication features timely articles covering timely and vital information concerning the profession, member moves, and updates on upcoming WASBO Professional Development opportunities.

District Professional and Service Affiliate members are welcome to submit articles of an informational or educational nature. Issues are published around the 15th of every month.

Submission guidelines:

  • Articles should be submitted no later than the first of the month for that month’s issue.
  • Articles should generally be no more than 800 words and submitted in Microsoft Word with no special formatting.
  • High-quality original photos and graphics are encouraged.
  • Photos and graphics must be sent separately, not embedded in a Word Document.
  • Please include a headline with the article.
  • Submitted articles will be reviewed, approved and edited for length and clarity by WASBO Staff.
