WISEdata Finance is part of Wisconsin's next-generation financial reporting system for school districts and other local education agencies (LEAs) in which financial data is pushed from the LEA through Ed-Fi to WISEdata Finance. This session will cover the shift in mindset from previous reporting practices and provide detailed information on reconciling data and financial validations that are identified by the system. We will discuss examples of common scenarios that require additional attention in meeting reporting requirements and provide an opportunity to share issues, concerns, or feedback on improving our systems and technical assistance going forward.

In these recent years, that has only increased. You will hear from two school district IT leaders on building your cybersecurity preparedness plan including practical tips to help you develop your school district’s cybersecurity competency and avoid biting the bait. Cybersecurity is the responsibility of every teacher, staff member, student, and family. The threat is real, and it is time to respond!

We will go through the process of reconciling cash accounts from where to begin and troubleshooting. Bring your computers and your cash reconciliations. This session provides instruction on how to determine if an employee is a Rehired Annuitant under Wisconsin law, what the requirements are for rehire, how to review the Previous Service and Benefit Inquiry Application for WRS eligibility purposes, and how to complete the Rehired Annuitant (ET-2319) WRS form.
