This course guides participants through competitive bidding requirements, ethical vendor management, and contract oversight—while clarifying when and why to use the RFP process, even if it's not mandated. Learn to navigate the intersection of board policies, federal and state thresholds, and understand exceptions such as curriculum purchases. The course also explores the structure and oversight of P-card programs, the impact of online purchasing, and how to leverage cooperative purchasing options through State contracts, CESAs, and UW System agreements.
