This course introduces the first step in risk management—identifying exposures, perils, hazards, and potential losses across school district operations. Participants will explore risks related to property, people, liability, and finances, and learn how to use tools like checklists, loss data, policy reviews, and expert resources to uncover vulnerabilities. The course also covers the importance of credible loss data and how risk identification informs insurance coverage, compliance, and prevention strategies.
