WASBO University: Ten certifications vital for all school officials

WASBO University (WASBO U) is the premier professional learning program for Wisconsin school business and operations leaders. Offering live professional development created and presented by your WASBO peers, the program is tailored to the unique needs of school business office and facilities professionals across the state. Built around the WI School Business Official professional standards, WASBO U provides a complete curriculum designed to strengthen expertise in finance, operations, leadership, governance, and risk management. With practical, hands-on courses, flexible pathways, and a multi-year schedule, WASBO U ensures every school—regardless of size or location—has access to valuable learning opportunities. Administrative and technical support is proudly provided through a partnership with the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay Division of Continuing Education & Community Engagement.

Personalized Learning | Coaching & Networking

WASBO’s Coaching and Networking opportunities provide personalized support and meaningful connections to help school business and facilities professionals grow and thrive. Through WASBO's Coaching Program (formerly the Mentorship Program) members receive tailored guidance to build confidence, enhance decision-making, and strengthen professional skills. Networking opportunities like the Women of WASBO Facility Network and the online ConNectwork platform foster collaboration and peer support, while WASBO's fundraisers at the Spring and Fall Conferences raise nearly $30,000 annually in scholarships, bringing members together to give back and celebrate the profession.

Are you a school business or facility professional looking to enhance your skills, expand your network, and gain confidence in decision-making? The WASBO Coaching Program is here to support you every step of the way! The purpose of the WASBO coaching program — formerly WASBO's Mentorship Program — is to support school business and facility personnel by offering personalized opportunities to enhance their professional knowledge, skills, and leadership abilities while growing their network of professional relationships. Participation in the coaching program equips Wisconsin public school business and facility personnel with the tools and confidence to make informed decisions that positively impact their schools and communities. The program delivers tailored guidance focused on strengthening financial management, facility planning, and operational efficiency. Furthermore, the coaching program fosters a community of practice among WASBO members, promoting knowledge sharing and mutual support. All of this aligns to the mission and goals of WASBO to best serve its members.

Networking

Women of WASBO Facility Network

The Women of WASBO Facility Network is a networking group comprised of a few women who work in school facilities across Wisconsin. Led by WASBO's Professional Learning Director Danielle Bosanec, the networking group serves as a place to lift up women who work in this male-dominated profession.
